This facilitates the interchangeability among users and economies of scale can be built through product sharing. The entire community of consumers benefits by pooling their collective resources. This basic concept is at the heart of pooling aircraft spare parts.
Werner Aero rotable pool management is an important element in maintaining an aircraft fleet without the huge inventory investments. Our inventory planning experts have amassed a pool of spare line replaceable units (LRUs) that works for our customers. We maintain our parts to high technical standards with built in reliability. Operators using this program have access to our pool which enables them, when needed, to request a component in advance of removing the unit from their aircraft. The component is then shipped to them so it is available for scheduled maintenance. The unserviceable LRU is sent back to our center either to be repaired or overhauled, so it can be put back into service. Upon completion of the repair, the LRU is returned to Werner’s pool for future use. .
Our pool is also available to support unscheduled maintenance. We can cover your repair pipeline inventory or we can consign our assets in your shelves for immediate exchange and cover your entire spare parts inventory. The program is completely customizable. Operators are charged a monthly access fee or a fee based on the flight hours used per month (PBH).
